At Burgess Behavioural Therapy, services are designed to provide compassionate, individualized support for children, youth, and families. The goal is to help children build meaningful skills while supporting parents and caregivers with practical strategies that can be used in everyday life.
Services may address emotional regulation, communication, social skills, independence, routines, school readiness, and behaviour challenges. Offerings include behaviour consultations, one-to-one behaviour therapy sessions, and parent and caregiver coaching, with services available in the home, school, daycare, or virtual setting.
Each service is tailored to the unique needs of the child and family and focuses on creating practical, respectful, and meaningful support across settings.
-
A Behaviour Consultation is the first step in the service process and helps determine whether services are the right fit for your child and family. This meeting provides an opportunity to review concerns, discuss your child’s strengths and needs, and identify possible next steps for support.
-
Individual Behaviour Therapy Sessions are one-to-one sessions designed to support your child’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. Sessions focus on building meaningful skills, increasing independence, and reducing barriers that may affect daily life at home, school, daycare, or in the community.
-
Parent and Caregiver Coaching is designed to support the adults in a child’s life by building confidence, understanding, and practical strategies for everyday situations. These sessions help caregivers better understand behaviour, support skill development, and respond in ways that feel consistent, supportive, and effective.
